“I’ve been everywhere, man.
I’ve been everywhere, man.
Crossed the desert’s bare, man.
I’ve breathed the mountain air, man.
Of travel I’ve had my share, man.
I’ve been everywhere.”
-Johnny Cash
I have not been everywhere but that certainly is my goal. It’s a lofty goal but one that I think is attainable, especially since I’ve put my mind to it. How did I get hooked on travel? Apparently, it is genetic. My paternal grandparents both traveled the world extensively, my grandmother going it alone after my grandfather passed away twenty years ago. It’s from sitting on her sofa looking through her photo albums, listening to her travel stories that I grew up to love and desire travel. That and I’m an eternal nomad.
At any point during the year I can pretty much guarantee that one, if not all of the cousins, are out of the country or on vacation somewhere. My brother currently lives in Fiji, my cousin was in Australia for six months and just got back, my other cousin just returned from Greece and I was overseas for three months in the fall and am planning my next big adventure for Fall 2011.
I currently live in Boulder, Colorado and am having a blast exploring my city and I look forward to sharing that with you all as well.
